Calvin and Reform

The Protestant Reformation did nothing for good doctrine, and it is disturbing that, at least in the United States, Christianity is identified with protestantism (especially Calvinism and reform theology).

Luther said "faith alone" just to split from the Roman Catholic Church, and the proper saying is still to this day "Charity, Faith and Good Works" and in no way is "faith alone" a good saying.

Luther also adopted the Nicean Creed without any thought that God is One God - therefore the Holy Trinity not of persons at all, but in the Lord Himself as one God, like the soul, body and operations are in one person.

CARM Stuff the Cult of Matt Slick

Hatred has no place in the Christian Church! You cannot defend the Christian faith by being an accuser!

The "Christian Countercult Movement" lists Mormons and Jehovah's witnesses as cults. They also list about every Christian church in existence a cult. They run websites like "CARM" and "New Zealand Cult list" and "Watchman Fellowship" and "Watchman Expositor." Everyone who doesn't repeat certain phrases of doctrine is labelled a cultist. Especially is you don't repeat "justification by faith alone" or "by faith and not works we are saved."

Rick Ross is an atheist, why is he invited into the "Christian Countercult Movement" to write on the New Zealand cult list, when he has no understanding of religious faith?

Their mind control (the Christian Countercult Movement) is a bad as any other religious group or organization or church that I have seen that has too narrow of a view. I have even had them tell me that they would like to burn books to keep people from reading them, and eradicate certain books from the world. Book Burners!

The Calvinist fundamentalists (like the CARM president Matt Slick) have seriously run amuck and posted all these cult accusations on the Internet. In effect, they have failed at the task of warning people about dangerous and doomsday cults, and they have bungled the job at rightly judging what a cult is. While they say they are fighting for Calvinism over Arminianism (like CARM does), they fail to tell me why that is important, considering the fact that those are two "faith alone" versions of Christianity that have both adopted their slogans from the Protestant Reformation. For example the "5 solas" and especially "Sola Fida" meaning "faith alone" or "faith only."

John Calvin, the murderous Pope of Geneva, who used old church laws to execute people (had at least 58 people put to death besides Michael Servetus, the Spanish physician) wrote "Institutes of the Christian Religion." Predestination was then walked into the Christian Church, and some people started to claim they were saved as soon as they are baptised with water. They talk like "I'm saved, are you saved?" and "I was saved when I was five years old" or even "I was saved when I was 4 years old." This does not make much sense as children that young are still selfish and are not even asking questions about God yet. Yet that has always been the nature of Calvinism, to commit the most grave errors in Christian doctrine.

The Calvinist Fundamentalists also tell me that their beliefs are 100% biblically based and quote almost soley from St. Paul. When I point out that their beliefs cannot be 100% biblically based, because then they themselves would then be the Word, they call me a sinner and start telling people I'm going to hell or they tell people I have committed a very big sin. I wonder at those attacks. They would never come from a reborn heart as Christians are supposed to have.
The "Christian Counter Cult Movement" is Calvinism repackaged as Christianity, and unfortunately, just about every church that claims that they are "non-denominational" I have also found to be Calvinist, or at least very staunchly quoting the 5 slogans from the Protestant Reformation. The term "non-denominational" has been taken over by the fundamentalist. I have posted blogs around the Internet warning people that "dangerous cults" and "doomsday cults" indeed need to be studied and watched, but some cult lists simply list everyone as being in a cult like the failed websites I have mentioned (especially New Zealand Cult List, CARM, and Watchman Fellowship).

It doesn't matter if you are Catholic, Lutheran, Presbyterian, Episcopal, Weslyan, Mennonite, Mormon, Jehovah Witness, Seventh Day Adventists, Young Earth Christian, Swedenborgian, Christadelphian, Quaker, Shaker, Amish or anything else whatsoever. The "Christian Countercult movement says that Christian denominations other than Calvinist denominations or fundamentalist denominations are cults. They even talk about what Calvin said about this or that. A clear denominational discussion which is not 100% Biblically based as they claim, but John Calvin based.

One time when I was in the CARM chat room, some kids were asking what did "C" say about that, and what did "C" say about this? They meant John Calvin and they wanted to know what Calvin said about this or that. Clearly a denominational discussion in a proported non-denomination.

Atheists, Calvinists and Fundamentalists are not running good cult lists, unless of course you just read them like a gossip newspaper. However, the slogans of the protestants that they judge everything on gets old fast.

Cult Lists should not be like some fundamentalist websites (CARM or Rick Ross or New Zealand Cult List or Watchman Fellowship), labeling every Christian church that is not a fundamentalist church as a cult.

Dangerous Cult leaders isolate their followers and demand unreasonable things like criminal activity to support the cult, sex, murder or suicide.

Churches that welcome people to go to services and bible studies, and expect members to think independently, work in society, and be full participants of their family and country should not be labelled cults. These churches believe that their doctrine will be born out eventually because what is of the Lord will last, and these churches do not constitute a dangerous cult, where a human leader spiritually and physically abuses, damages and kills people.

Good study of what a cult is should be started with "doomsday cults" and "suicide cults" and "dangerous cults."

Fundamentalists trying to build their church by accusing others are not good sources for study.
